Winter musings

I hate living in a cold climate during winter, I am very much a tropical person. The reasons can be found in the first paragraph of Alain de Botton’s essay, On Anticipation, from his book The Art of Travel…”It was hard to say when exactly winter arrived.  The decline was gradual, like that of a person into old age, inconspicuous from day to day until the season became an established relentless reality.”

Sadly I was unable to attend the event that was held at the Wheeler Centre in Melbourne because it was booked out (no surprise there) but thank you to Ideas at the House for posting the event held at the Sydney Opera House.  Lena and Michelle are charming and funny and George give us his incredible insight into the world of Westros.
